We are pleased to inform you of the release of the splendid documentary BEYOND KATHMANDU directed by Alexander Murphy, the 18 next February at the cinema.
The documentary takes us to Nepal, in the company of two sisters Jamuna and Anmuna who return to their native village, perched in the heights of the Himalayas where they will participate with their family in the yarsagumba harvest, half-mushroom, half-rare insect whose harvest exceeds the price of gold.
For Jamuna, cette quête sur sa terre d'origine, incarnant l'espoir d'un nouveau départ, est aussi l'occasion de retrouvailles, de réparations et d'un adieu qui la libérera enfin.
The film accurately captures the reality of Nepalese youth, difficulties she encounters, but also the grueling yarsagumba harvest, in a breathtaking setting.
