The head office of the humanitarian association Ecoliers du Monde is located in Corbelin in Isère in the heart of the region Rhône-Alpes-Auvergne where the members of the Bureau reside.
The law association 1901 ECOLIERS du MONDE was born at the beginning of the 90 the willingness of French people living abroad and wishing to help in the education of disadvantaged children.
The association is managed by a Board of Directors and by a Bureau which meets once a month.
All elected members are volunteers.
The association operates mainly in Nepal, but also in other countries like Benin, Madagascar and occasionally in other countries, always with the collaboration of reliable and recognized partners.
On the spot, our correspondents make it possible to maintain permanent contact with children and schools.
To be in compliance with the laws governing humanitarian actions in Nepal, we created in 2015 an on-site structure who works directly on our behalf.
The Non-Governmental Organization “Saicchik Hatemalo Foundation” (“Together for education”) is a Nepalese non-profit structure which employs an employee in charge of regular relations with children and schools.
We are in daily contact with this person as well as with the President of the NGO.
We thus have a safe and direct relay to better target needs, quickly resolve emergency situations, and to follow the progress of the projects that we finance.
The main objective is to help the education of disadvantaged children whose families, sometimes single-parent, cannot pay tuition. Sometimes we have to offer boarding school for the child, in the event that the school is too far from the family home or if living conditions require it.
Thereby, we assure:
– the schooling of as many children as possible in the schools with which we are in contact,
– one-off and targeted aid when necessary (catering for the canteen, health costs, uniform …)
Another objective is to allow children to study in the best possible conditions:
– by equipping schools with teaching resources as needed,
– by building and fitting out classrooms,
– by funding additional training for teachers.
We assure the godparents that their donations are exclusively allocated to the education of children.
Our resources come from individual sponsorships, collective sponsorships, donations from our members, the involvement of volunteers during the events we organize, without forgetting the products of Nepalese handicrafts sales.
The amount of sponsorships and donations collected is fully used for the education of children..
An annual membership of 10 € allows the association to cover its operating costs.
The commitment of companies and public entities helps us with their logistical support or donations.
Becoming a partner of the association, for example as part of the CSR Corporate Social Responsibility approach, allows us to increase its visibility and promote staff through our communications..
Volunteer engagement through the organization and setting up of craft sales, helps promote the association and generate income.
Demonstrations are regularly organized, sometimes in conjunction with other organizations (concerts, theater evenings, actions with teachers in schools…).
These events make it possible to raise awareness of the association's actions and generate additional income to finance current projects..
