“My name is Solène, I have 28 years and I was lucky to be volunteer for two months at Vhmavi school.
As a professor of art, I gave class lessons 2 class 10. It allowed me to meet many students.
I thank the Ecoliers du Monde association for having put me in contact with Saru and Pramod. These two people behind this extraordinary school near Kathmandu.
“During the period of May 1 at 26 June 2024, I had two main missions : teach plastic art and coordinate a professionalization project for young people.
I particularly liked to develop short and long -term artistic projects, as an art history program for classes 10, Covering periods ranging from Lascaux caves to Dali.
Moreover, I also set up a professionalization program for the classroom 8, In collaboration with the Life Project association 4 Youth.
The students created their CV, written a cover letter and participated in coaching interviews. It was as part of a preparation of a two -month internship in the school.
The students really got involved and this project was very enriching.
This experience was striking, largely thanks to the wonderful students and the director, Saru.
Be in daily contact with children full of life, joyful and sometimes confronted with difficult situations has been deeply moving.
I have unforgettable memories, in particular an outing with interns in Thamel, On a rooftop in the heart of Kathmandu.
