Testimony of Khushi

My name is Khushi Gautam. I was born on 22 August 2000 in Thapathali, a district of Kathmandu in Nepal.

I spent my childhood with my family (my mom, my daddy and my sister), up to 8 year. I was very happy living with my parents and started school at 4 year.

While I had 8 year, my father left and married another woman.

After my father left, our difficult life began.

My mother started working in other houses to clean and earn some money.. Tuition fees were not paid, the director summoned my mother several times.

One day, the members of Ecoliers du Monde, Marie, Martine and Mano came to the school where I was studying and I was called to the office to meet them.

This is how I learned that Ecoliers du Monde was ready to sponsor us, me and my sister Khusbu.

In class 3, me and my sister got admitted to HIMS (Himalayan International Modal School) in 2010.

My mother always fought to try to give us the minimum (clothes, food…)

Ultimately, the association has decided 2011 to change schools, so that we can benefit from boarding at Bhrikuti Secondary School.

For the first time, I met my godmother Evelyne Berliat who gave me letters and gifts (hair clips, collier, colored pencils, yoyo, balloons…).

On 2013, I met my godmother again at the BSS school. On 2014, I was studying at BSS but I was at boarding school in KU city.

On 2015, Marie and Martine came to Nepal and they found the school Victor Hugo Manjushree Vidhyapith for me and my friends (Baburam, Dinesh, Anju).

I learned a lot of things at school. During my baccalaureate, I stayed in the director's house (Pramod et Saru) pendant 6 month; It was interesting, there were always plenty of volunteers I could talk to about their culture, their country and language.

I passed my baccalaureate at school Victor Hugo Manjushree Vidhyapith.

This school is really important for me because the education is really different from other schools in Nepal.

After my graduation, I spent time in my village, then I returned to Kathmandu where I began to study the French language with Pramod.

Saru et Pramod

I was admitted to HRIT Academy to study computer science.

In October 2018, I had a surprise: my godmother came to Nepal with her family, Rodolphe her husband and Annabelle her daughter.

in november, I had the opportunity to join theFrench alliance to learn the French language and I was even able to sing “To the Champs Elysees” in karaoke.

Ultimately, I finished my level 1 at the Alliance Francaise, with a score of 80% and I was top of the class.

I finished my class 11 in mai 2019. Now I'm a student in class 12 and I would like to teach myself.

I love to travel, discover, learn about other cultures, languages and I love adventure.

I feel really lucky to be sponsored by Ecoliers du Monde. The love and help of the association and especially of Marc Dai and Evelyne are really precious to me..

You will always be in my heart. I would like to say thank you to the Ecoliers du Monde family, Marc Dai, Martine, my dear Evelyne from the bottom of my heart for having sponsored and loved me.
